Over the past few years I’ve discovered a love for coffee and exploring different coffee shops. I used to be the person ordering a water or tea at a coffee shop but that all changed somewhere between the early mornings on bridge watch to the overnight cargo watches when I worked on an oil tanker. I quickly went from zero cups a day to two pots most days!

When I hit a shop that I’ve never been to, I always order it black to see how good the coffee really is. My mom and I always say that you can tell how good coffee is by whether or not you can drink it black! So I can tell you that these coffee spots down below, have some really good coffee….

1.   Aspire

Aspire Coffee is owned by two women, Lyndsi and Mandie who have a shop location in Skye Canyon AND a mobile location (coffee trailer!). All the coffee sold here is locally or organically sourced along with being served in eco-friendly cups and packaging.

The honey lavender and dirty chai lattes are delicious and there’s always the safe option of a good ol’ black iced. I definitely recommend purchasing a coffee flight so you can try multiple options!

This is hands down the most interesting coffee shop I have ever been to! This is a veteran run business serving Black Rifle Coffee and located within Battlefield Vegas. They even have tanks and helicopters on location to come check out. So come get some coffee, view the military equipment and shoot some guns, I dare you to try to name something better than that!

*My grandpa served on the USS Iwo Jima during the Vietnam War and one of the tanks from the ship is here at Battlefield! It’s actually the tank located to the right of the coffee shop in the photo above!

3.   Coffee Religion

This rad little coffee spot opened its doors two short years ago. The first thing you’re sure to notice when you walk in is the 11-foot Buddha statue on the back wall of the café. The statue was transported via ship for over two months to make its way to Las Vegas. Coffee Religion offers a wide variety of coffee and tea or the option to book tea party services where you are waited on and served teas, scones, finger sandwiches and other tasty treats.

This coffee joint may not look like much from the outside but the inside is quite unique! They have lots of seating, plants and when you look at the front counter, you’ll see lots of coffee sacks hanging above. Desert Wind has coffee beans from more than 10 countries and on top of that, a plethora of different espresso and non-espresso beverages to try.

5.   Grouchy John’s

This coffee spot has the greatest name ever, haha like they couldn’t leave it at John’s, they had to add the grouchy part. Grouchy John’s has two locations here in Vegas, with a 24-hour drive thru at one of the locations so you can wake up at 3 AM and go get your caffeine fix! You can never go wrong with their basic black coffee or any of the specialty drinks especially the peanut butter banana mochas and Nutella frappes.

6.   Sambalatte

Living only about a mile from the Summerlin location, I call tell yah I’ve been here quite a few times and it’s a great place to go get some coffee! The Summerlin location has a really cute outdoor section and an upstairs area to get some work done or meet up with a friend. They even offer a rainbow latte option if you’re looking for something unique!

7.   Savor

Savor Coffee was one of the first coffee shops I tried when I moved to Vegas. It’s located right near Sunset Park in Green Valley North. Not only is the shop a total vibe, but the taste of the coffee is equally as amazing. They offer an apple pie flavored latte seasonally, which is to die for! I usually only drink iced coffee but this is an exception for me. Some days there is even a little Frenchie inside so make sure to go and say hi!
